That's a great course. Beautiful. And SO hilly. I thought the 150 was harder last year than DK. The roads are awesome, though. Iowa gravel (at least in the Des Moines area) seems much smoother than Missouri gravel. And the dirt roads (there were a lot of them last year) are really cool.

Good info! Hey, can you tell me a little about the dirt roads? Are they as rough as the DK ranch roads? Rougher? Can you estimate % of smooth gravel and rough stuff over the course? Just thinking about bike setup... Thx for the intel!! :)

Iowa gravel is more like chip and seal roads around here than the Missouri/Iowa gravel we're used to. I don't remember much if any rough gravel. The dirt roads definitely depend on how much rain there's been. We had mostly nice, dry roads and it was very rideable.
