Wow, congrats on a solid race Bent! You're a super strong racer!
He probably shouldn't have raced when he wasn't well (a sense of balance might help for biking and paddling a surfski!) but Browner had the medics checking on him at every staffed CP, and I checked with the staff when I got there too. It all turned out fine and he even had a good race - phew!
Despite everything, keep on plugging on....
Wow, an incredible performance especially considering your challenges!
I love your garmin tracker. Looks like great art work for a 3 year old in the first trek :)
oh and you did great work considering how far back you were at that point!
We laughed as we compared GPS tracks yesterday. I was doubting his claim of a 25-minute error but counting another small mistake on that leg, he was not exaggerating. He needs you, Mr. Gally!
Gally can attest that I was trying to be careful navigating up front, until my brain blew up in the lumpy stuff. Princess.
I'm not sure how much better I would really do if I was feeling 100%. It was good to have a decent base to fall back on at least, so I could keep chugging.
The doctor confirms you have a hole in your ear and tells you to take it easy, and not get it wet. You put a plug in it and say "I'm going racing, off road", and kick butt!
Fetch the tiara ha!
For someone who had extreme inner ear pain you are a trooper congrats!
