Congrats for at least trying to let someone know about the damage. How retarded is the DNR that they can't do something to protect such a beautiful natural area.

Here in Chicago we have several trillium areas within the city...and we've made them fenced bird sanctuaries with viewing platforms and accessible ramps (for the MBers?).

You don't like having some small forest space in a city, where humans are completely excluded? And nature is free to work undisturbed?

Personally I LIKE to stand on the viewing platform and contemplate the natural process: trees falling down, regrowing, grasses filling in as sunlight reaches the forest floor in spots, and yes, trilliums blooming in profusion during the spring!
