Thanks - being beaten by an older age class competitor has no gone un-noticed. A few seconds is a few seconds so well done Martin!
Also, I was pretty lucky round the coastal controls as I had runners in sight who did all the back-tracking and visiting the wrong crag etc for me. Aswell as this I know a number of top guys were missing from the event - namely Paddy Walder (who I rarely beat in Scotland) and Ben Stansfield who beat me at the British.
Having said all that, I rarely get to lift a trophy (non-relay) these days and I'm hanging on to it! :-)
