To induce people to show up, have a look at the photos of last year's event.

The 1930s lodge of the Boy Scout camp is built with logs of chestnut trees, and the building is on the National HIstoric Register

Last year two participants found all the controls, so this year I've upped the count to 76 and added a bit of land on the east side of the park. Also, this year I volunteered to draft the map of the corn maze at Szalay's Farm Market so that it would be accurate. Competitors will find three flags in the maze this year. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is the 9th most visited of the US parks. As far as I know, Petrified Forest is the only other NP to allow orienteering. Let me know if you know of others.

Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, run by the parks service, allows orienteering. Not technically a National Park (Parks are created by Congress, while Monuments are designated by Presidents), but run in this case by the same agency.
