Thanks! Still trying to nail down exactly what the problem is? When I first start out quiet, then the raspy noise starts up. Happens when coasting or peddling.

Have you had the pads out? Might be something stuck on the pad or in the housing.

I tried several things just proving how inept I am with the new bikes. The one thing that would work was adjusting the tire and the angle of the disc brake. It would work for a short bit of riding then start the rubbing noise. I have the quick release tires. I'm wondering if I'm not doing something right and the tire adjusts after putting my weight on it?

hmm is the wheel seated in the drops front and rear properly? if they are you may need a visit to the shop to fix it, maybe the rotor is bent.
