I wish I could get away from work on Thursday to find those controls!
It's for a summer UW class being led/taught by local legend and UW writer-in-residence Mark Jenkins. Basically the class is a trip to climb Gannett Peak, and the class is front-loaded with instruction in different aspects of mountaineering. My little piece is a field exercise in navigation. It's comparatively easy orienteering, but not dead simple either. Hopefully it will end up being "just right" and neither too hard or too easy for the group--but that was not easy to judge, and I'll just see how it goes tomorrow.
