I removed the instructions for the other race distance, changed the margins and font, and shrunk it to 2 pages. It's now printed double-sided in a ziploc bag in your mail pile. Am I a good wife or what?
I have a 5 page printout, but the last 2 are for the 100mi- just in case.
I'm packing reading glasses too. It'll be nice if I can just use the watch, but I hate to rely on fiddly technology alone for the first time in a race.
The course is marked so the instructions are really just for emergencies. Also, we can read them beforehand while looking at the higher quality map we'll get at check-in.
I could also download a route to my Ambit, I think, but that seems way too ambitious for a first time test of that functionality.
P.S. "Just in case"? Are you thinking you might switch to the 100 mile course?!
No, I'm thinking I might miss a turn and have to find my way back off the 100 mile course.
That's positive thinking!
Google Maps on your phone might be easier. :)
