Were the first 30km that much harder, or did it just take a while for you to settle in? The drop of is pretty dramatic.

The HRM was screwy. At one point it read 210 and I manually counted it a lot lower.
Maybe I get some sort of weird thing early on due to race mode even when it's a casual one. It seemed to stop working right from 30-85k- no way I was riding at 70bpm up massive hills. It was physically harder later on, and the final 10k was singletrack too.

Note- looks like I was 35 out of about 72 or so, right on mid pack. I'm fine with that.

Good stuff - that's exactly what I estimated for your ranking! And I was exactly 80% of the way back in the women's field, which is what I estimated too. Maybe I could have done 75% with a working bike.

Awesome ride, both of you! Sounds like the trails and the crowd were a lot of fun!

Yep, a lot of fun, especially without hammering it full on. I like this tour-racing idea.

I like that tour-racing idea. It might become my new mantra.

I echo Mrs. Gally's words precisely, Nice work Ricardo!
