Hey friends and family
Some info on this summer’s great adventure. As many of you might of heard I’m participating in the world’s greatest bike race this summer. It is called “Tour Divide 2017” It starts in Banff Alberta CA. and follows along the continental divide to the border with Mexico at Antelope Wells NM. It is an individual effort and is unsupported. The ride consists mostly of gravel roads, forest service roads and jeep trails it is about 2700 miles long and 200,000 feet of climbing.

Most of the riders (myself included) carry a satellite tracking device and can be followed on this web site http://trackleaders.com/tourdivide17 . The race doesn’t start till Friday June 9th so don’t expect to see any movement till then.

There are 6 of us participating from the Duluth area and the local newspaper did an article about the event, read it here http://www.duluthnewstribune.com/outdoors/4278012-... .

There is an informational race web site here http://tourdivide.org/the_race . It is somewhat out dated but gives you some information about the race.

Enjoy your summer
