DF = Drag Factor. Should be under "More options" or something like that in the main menu. The DF is a more precise measure of load than the number you set the fan dial to. (http://eodg.atm.ox.ac.uk/user/dudhia/rowing/physic...)

You row the same erg all the time so setting the fan at 5 on Tue should be the same load as 5 on Wed. However, all ergs are a touch different due to dust and wear. Thus, if you are using different ergs from one day to the next, using the DF will give equivalent load. On the other hand, 5 on your erg in 2015, may not be the same load as 5 on your erg in 2017 due to possible accumulation of dust and wear. However, if you keep things clean, 5 will probably stay about 5.
