I felt my back the day after our golf event. I'm not sure if it helped to loosen me up but it certainly highlighted the places where my back and shoulders are tight.
There are certainly some different muscles used swinging a golf club, or probably anything. About 10 years ago while Mrs. was getting a spa treatment of some source, I had an active stretching session. Unfortunately at the time my joints were still young enough that I didn't stick with all of the details.
Of course, now the range of motion isn't quite as broad.
You and the Mrs. might enjoy a SUP yoga class this summer. It's shorter and gentler than a regular yoga class but there could be some new stretching and it's fun to be on the water!
I've thought of that, and the hanging from a rope yoga. I'd probably tip over, but don't mind that much.
Once a week, they offer "Gentle Aerial Yoga". That might be a good way to get started. I didn't like being upside down all that much but it would be good for you!
I've inverted for years and do daily when at home, so that won't bother me. I"ll have to take a fresh look at their schedule and see what might work on the way home from seeing my mom.
I'm doing my first SUP yoga class of the season next Wednesday.
