Looks like really fun terrain. Way to go!
Thanks! The woods, maps, and courses have all been amazing! Yesterday was pretty tough on my confidence, but I think I was still fighting off some jet lag, and I definitely didn't do a good job of managing my food intake. Between those two things, I could tell I didn't have any pep in my legs even before my start, which didn't help my mental process at all. Today I felt better all around, and even though my results are fairly dismal, I felt like it was a solid run based on my current fitness.
I hear you on managing sleep and food. I found that particularly difficult after Anna was born. Hydration, too - I had to bail from the Billygoat that year, my first ever dnf. Glad you've worked hard to take care of yourself. Rest well for Friday!
Pretty awesome and way to bounce back on run #2!
