Love how the M80 entrants have a chasing start! surely they could gave spaced them a little more??? eg 4 minutes rather than 1.

Well it's the same for everyone. Plus there are others on that course immediately following (W70, then W65, etc) and spacing them out throws everyone back.

Only thing is Don is technically M85 and no chance of catching Peter but it's pointless having one M80 and one M85. I think so anyway - Don has other views on the matter.

I know there's not a high entrant number to consider - just thought (unkindly possibly) that they might have been putting them out together as support/insurance policy.

a support plan is in place if they need evacuating by helicopter.......

Well the two of them did end up running separate categories after all that - same course though.

The 1 minute interval is part of the excitement and challenge of sprint-O.

Yeah definitely, I kept seeing Oliver out there and was wondering if he was catching me. Turns out he was for a bit (he had gained three seconds at the time I saw him) but then I got away.

But... it also potentially introduces unfairness. Not a huge problem for m/w21, but for M/W10 it often means they all end up finishing together holding hands.

I think there were only three entrants across the two 10 categories yesterday.

Better get working on that, so.

My older cat is 7 but my younger one is only nearly 4. Both can run but neither can read a map.
