yeah, I wasn't looking forward to AA5K, but I really wanted to get a data point at MM at this weight, 10 lb heavier than last year, but last year I PRd by 8 sec at 10 lb heavier than the previous year, presumably due to stronger body/ core. I feel I'm even stronger now, so curious if I could shave off another 8 sec. well, maybe the calf will heal quickly, not likely since it is still sore today even walking, icing and compression still, fortunately, I can still spin and do strength workouts.
funny anecdote, I asked billy if he ever pulled a high inner calf muscle and he responded, "what's a muscle pull" . . . doh! I said it's when you are running and your muscle suddenly tightens up in a knot and you can't run anymore. he said that's never happened to him. haha. forgot that 19 year old bodies are pretty much bullet proof. :)
