We're pretty sure it's birdwatching, which involves some travel by car, and some on foot.

I only record the route if I'm with others and not the one deciding where we go. Let's me know just where we've been in case I want to go back.
JJ is correct, but there is also just a general exploration of places I haven't been, plus a social aspect. In this case, I'd never been to October Mountain, largest state forest in the state and with quite an interesting history. Had a fine time.
