every day you train (in whatever fashion) is a victory. no need to sign off, just shape-shift to circumstances.

saw the ortho and he said it was likely a partial tear in the upper gastroc, which will heal on its own and not require surgery; but prescribed PT so start Monday, about an 8 week rehab.

I don't really feel like logging 8 weeks of bicycle commuting so will sign off for now, but like to check the logs once in awhile.

hey, maybe your commuting will turnout to be exciting! do you do stuff like intervals and sprints on the bike? remember that time we did hill intervals @ Whitecliff and you would always kill me the last 50 meters?

Remember how I got my MAcklind PR off of a lot of biking because of injury? and how Gilker ran that 5:xx off 50 miles in a year?

good point, but any type of pushing will stress the calf too much, even on the pedals, better to do the rehab correctly for the long term; I can do a lot of upper body and core, and even squats, just not running, jumping type movements.

Bummer. At least it is only a partial. Yeah, pushing on the bike with a gastroc tear won't end well. Swimming should be an option.... Speedy recovery!
