Think that was at Champion Lakes this morning.

Yep, even though Wikipedia told me it was held in late summer/early autumn.

Should we have sprint maps of Trinity, Wesley and Christ Church? It seems like we should complete the set (although Trinity and Christ Church don't look all that spectacular, maybe if we tacked on MLC to CHCH).

I remember briefly discussing the prospects of trying to get orienteering into the PSA sports program, but I think it went in the too hard basket. Would be more interesting than most of their cross country courses.

About time they changed the name since it is no longer anywhere near the river. Load of wimps, the river is more fun when there's a gale blowing. Imagine if they tried to change the Boat Race (Cambridge v Oxford) from the Thames to a rowing park!

Well they cancel Olympic level rowing races when there's too much wind so I imagine they'd do the same for high schoolers. Might as well just avoid the potential wave destruction in advance. My brief foray into rowing taught me that it is indeed hard to row when there's wind around.

Brief foray? You're often creating rows. Not with Tash, but with all sorts of motorists, phone users, recruiters... ;-)

I think Jenny may get upset if I used rowing in that context. Perhaps 'to have a row' or 'I hadn't have had a row for a while' would get a better reception.
