Maybe try mine w optical hr to see how inaccurate the readings are for you. It's great not to have to wear a strap but...

The 920xt still uses the strap but is very inexpensive now that the 735 is out (wrist monitor).

Thanks both! It still works seemingly whenever I'm fed up with it. But a garmin will be the next one once this one conks out or it gets worse.
