I'm very impressed with what O-USA is doing in partnership with a group representing wounded veterans. Three veterans with no previous orienteering experience have been recruited to the OUSA Trail O team and are now hard in training to represent the USA at the Worlds in Lithuania in July.
A lot of the vets expenses are being covered but not their travel. So a supporter has undertaken a fund raising campaign through GOFundMe, looking to raise the needed $6,000. They are getting close.
A look at the page shows that the support from orienteers is impressive. Also three clubs have donated - Rochester, Western PA and Suncoast Orienteering. If six more clubs each chipped in $200 they would meet their goal. Come on clubs. Show us your hearts! Just follow the link above to access the campaign.

This is awesome - Clare Durand had mentioned in March trying to make this happen. How exciting to see the team's progress! Good luck to everyone - team list from the Capital Region Nordic Alliance website:

Army Major Curtis Schreiner, Hadley, NY (Multiple Sclerosis)
Marine Corps Sargent Matthew Pietro , Glens Falls, NY (above knee amputee)
Army Private Christ Rasmussen, Casper, WY, below knee amputee)
CRNA coach: Russ Myer, IPCN Classifier and ParaNordic Official
