After the events in Brooklyn today, much tighter security may come into being. Our experience at Hartford Hospital was quite different. Everyone needed a badge to get by the guards at the entrance. Although if you knew your way around, you could get in rather easily.
I think that was in the Bronx:
...and wearing a lab coat went on a rampage in the Bronx hospital where he had worked on Friday, killing a female doctor and wounding six other people before setting himself on fire and shooting himself in the head...
Don't know how you protect yourself from crazies in lab coats.
Hope it does not change "open door policy" in Boston. A Brigham & Women's cardiologist was shot/killed inside the hospital by the son of a patient in Jan., 2015.
My work colleague reminded me how, in the past, gang members would come into hospitals to shoot the merely wounded - in his case, in Baltimore.
