What is a reasonable number? 5? 10? 30? You should count them in multiples of my reasonable number.

I did 17 about 5 years ago, but a few things have happened since then. Did 7 the other day and got a pretty hard spasm behind my L shoulder as a reward about half an hour later.

Ok, I'll bite and put out a number even - 1. But since I don't have a bar to attempt any, I could just as easily say 20 or 50. Will have to look for something. In HS gym class, my worst days were those for climbing the rope. Never got off the floor ;-(

Rotator cuff tears have taken me out of this game. Also good excuses for not lifting furniture.

Yay, Zan! Can you still do any right now? The best I ever got to (when I was training for military pentathlon) was 2-almost-3, though clearly almost doesn't count in pullups. :-)

George -- you don't need rotator cuffs for pull-ups, just for overhead presses. Give it a try.

Ah - rotator cuffs. I remember those. Had them once but not sure they are too reliable now. Thanx George, a great excuse as don't want any more damage.

I did 10 sloppy ones last week. I need to rest my knee now, so maybe pullups well be just the thing.
