Yes!! It was my first time ever looking and there were 2 in quite close, close enough to see their white callosities . We saw one with fin or tail flukes up probably 'tail sailing ' which is thought to be just for play. It was pretty cool.
Apparently the mothers produce 125 l per day of milk for their calf, of toothpaste consistency, and this is without eating for 2 months. They deserve a parenting award imo.
One of the most played records in our house growing up was ' The sounds of the humpback whale'!
Wow! Sounds amazing. I've never seen whales down south - I'll have to make the trip one day. :)
