Why were the courses such weird lengths?
(It sounds as though 9km would have been plenty for course 2, but even so, shouldn't both courses 1 and 3 have been comparatively longer?)

Yeah I agree Krystal, was good fun. Haven't run a long distance in a while so was bit of a shock to the system. What length is our ultra long?

sounds like the opposite of our OY - 9k of red line running. would have needed to be 14 for Simeon to get near the winning time.

I feel like I've been bleating about lack of proper longs in Aus for as long as I've been running elites. it improved for a while when Hanny was running, but somehow organisers seem to scared to set courses longer than 10km for the women.

good to hear that we're going to get a decent field at Qld champs!

Admittedly, the way the NOL schedule turned out, there wasn't a proper long WOC trial race in Aust this year.
