For what it is worth, in the 20+ days I spent on the track with a motorcycle it became quite clear that I had to stop braking before turning into the corner. So brake straight and upright, release, dive into the corner. I've found that all of my motorcycle training applied fairly directly to the bicycles - the head coach agreed.
Ironically, I did quite well in motorbike racing and loved mastering the nuances of how much brake I could apply versus how much the tire was leaned over, but I have yet to transfer that to mountain biking. I'll try to go into my next rides thinking of it like motorbike racing.
We gotta swap track stories sometime! I didn't know you did track time on a motorcycle! Cool!
I'm game for that: VIR, Barber, Watkins Glen were my favourites.
