Yep, that new parking lot is crazy huge; I might bring my road bike and just ride the lot. Whenever I ride West Bragg, it seems like everyone does the Braggin' Rights - Merlin View loop. I rarely do it, so I'm not sure how busy it is on weekends and evenings but it must be busy. I'm usually over on the Ranger Summit side (was there again last night) and don't see many people. Or over by Station Flats is very quiet.
Check out Big Bear if you are in Crowsnest Pass, it was quite good.

Yes, I think most people do that loop in the other direction. I've done it a couple of times and it was good, especially the descent on the way out of Reconnect-Long Distance.

Good to know about Big Bear - trailforks has it rated extreme. Easier than Razorback I presume?

Definitely easier than Razor's Edge. I rode all of Big Bear without much hesitation and enjoyed it all. I definitely don't ride all of Razor's Edge.
I would rate Big Bear as single black diamond and not a hard black diamond. I would rate the last third of Razor's Edge as double black diamond.
