The regular entry fee of $25 (such a deal) expires on Sunday August 20. After that the price goes up. Get your entry in ASAP for this event which takes place on the following Saturday, the 26th of August. The terrain is 80% brand new and includes truly awesome rock features. You'll want to pack a lightweight camera for sure. Camping is available at the site.
This looks excellent; thanks for the reminder!
A question that I wanted to clarify - the website doesn't list any equipment as required, is that correct? Apart from the need for the map and e-punch (and compass, obviously), the only equipment instructions are suggestions that we carry water and a phone, right?
for you Ian, you must carry 10% of your body weight. I suggest tent, sleeping bag and 2 gallons of water.
The organizers also suggest bringing a chair (but you don't have to carry it on the course).
There isn't any required gear. Just bring what you think you need.
The event site is primitive. There is one shelter with one table, no power, no water.
Bring table and chairs if you want.
