I think they are really fine examples of Darwin principle. A family were nesting on the cliplock roof of a carport at Lake Macq Private when rockman was there in Nov 2010. Now that's now going to get hot is it?? We watched them for the 5 days he was in - gingerly negotiating the area. Crazy.

I guess it's partly because they don't build nests. But it was heartbreaking the other night to see them squawking everywhere in search of their last baby...in 15 years, I reckon I've only about 3 times seen the chicks get to adulthood.
