you're amping the up - it used to be 60 was just the new 50 or whatever.
now that its over i guess i can say i was impressed by the volume of back to back training days so close to a race. some people just got it!
The last few days were lower intensity activities - at least in terms of aerobic fitness - so it worked out OK.
everybody has a different way. obviously i worried needlessly:). happy for you.
