I like this plan (but then again I'm a fan of higher cadences anyway). Do you know what your trying to get it to?

Whatever it is just make sure you do it in small increases otherwise it probably will feel really weird and inefficient.

Yep, so a lot of sites say at least 180spm, but considering I'm taller than the average female (...and male hehehe) I'm aiming to steadily reach 170. See how that feels to start with. I'm curious what your average run cadence is, Simon? Or anyone else for that matter! :D

Sounds good Liv! According to my Garmin mine's 180spm when I run hard (ie intervals or tempo), but more towards 160 or 150 when I'm just jogging....not sure if that's good or not!!

Yeah my running race cadence for parkrun or time trials seems to have an average of 190, getting closer to 200 in short intervals. But if doing a normal run on my own at reasonable tempo seems to be about average of 170-175. Although even for group runs where I'm running slower with the group or during a warmup or cooldown it doesn't actually ever seem to be much lower than that either.
