In a school somewhere in Bathurst I think. With the NZ reserve schools squad that Oliver is in.

Cool, see you there, think we are in a house just out of town.

Billenicus:
Looking forward to it.

That's a really weird training log - exactly 25km cycling for 5 weeks in a row. Except one eeek it took twice as long.

Billenicus:
Eh? I can't see one with double the time in recent weeks.

I usually do the same loop, as it's the shortest loop that can be done leaving our house in one direction and coming back from the other. I just alternate the direction.

Week of 13 August: except you logged a ride with 0km.

Ah - that was actually a different route that I didn't bother to measure. A last minute decision as the physio had just told me not to run for a few days.

You think that is weird, he has some ongoing SportIdent issue.

Bill - do you need an SI Air+ ? It will add about 20 seconds a day onto how much you beat me by.

Will resist the SI Air temptation for the moment as I think it's a backward step. Just a wheeze for SI to sell more hardware.

Chas:
I agree that it's a wheeze to sell more stuff but I couldn't resist the temptation because I was too worried about getting beaten by a few seconds by someone using SI Air.
I think it could be as much as a minutes difference over a course with 20-30 controls.

I've still got 3, so should be 3 minutes I can catch on Bill.

Imagine how the relay is going to play out with mixed punching :)

Chas:
It was interesting watching the last control at the British relays. SI air competitors just ran past without stopping whilst the rest had to slow down, stop, fumble and speed back up. No need for a sprint finish with SI air....
Blatantly unfair.

That's what I thought. If I'd had an SI Air card there it would have been a 1-2 for SYO on M50 instead of a 1-3!

I'll probably crack sometime with gritted teeth, but it'll take an event I really care about.

Actually, it's more likely that the kids will manage to lose another one and we'll have to get another replacment.

Grilla is going to have people standing at the finish making sure they get the results in the right order.

"I was too worried about getting beaten by a few seconds by someone using SI Air. "

When I was little I read an interview with Mick McGill in the WCOC newsletter (I think) and he said one reason he did well was he always had a really good dump beforehand. Saved him minutes he reckoned.

So, I'd recommend laxative as a cheaper alternative to SI Air+.

I thought it turned out he had a few other tricks.

Tricks that wouldn't work with SI...

Thanks RRR. Already got that one. Any more time saving tips?

Sorry no. Most of the other advice I can offer is related to chafing.
