Hey Siri,

Hope your Summer was full of fun and adventure, and your sprint competition this weekend goes well. My orienteering aspirations for this year are to place top 3 at the US Classic Champs which are in terrain I am familiar with... for once, and to improve my JWOC ranking score from last year.

Hey Turner! Summer has been rad, since JWOC I've just been doing a lot of running. What have you been up to? Are you going to do xc this fall? Your orienteering goals sound great! I definitely think you'll be able to improve a lot this year. For me, I want to consistently do technical training at least once a week and balance that with track, and have a strong race during the JWOC sprint.

I spent most of my Summer participating in Service Academy camps, preparing my applications, and training to take on a major leadership role within NJROTC. Also spent 10 sweet days in Canada orienteering with Peter and AJ. I run every chance I get with the XC team, but between wrestling preseason, NJROTC, college applications, and orienteering I felt that I wouldn't have enough time to commit fully to joining the team.

Have any inclination what college you want to go to, or if you want to run in college?

Makes sense, dang that's a busy schedule! That was Canadian O Champs right?

Hah no idea. I do want to run in college and Cornell could be a possibility, but really don't know. I'm guessing your #1 is still West Point?

I caught the tail end of the Eastern Canadian Champs, then did a training camp, then finished the trip with the Canadian Champs. Orienteering at West Point is certainly a dream of mine, but I'll settle for Navy and Air Force as well.

Best of luck with your college search and application process.
