Thank you for the warm welcome, you will have an amusing time watching me try to get 100km in this week, along with all of my whining and complaining!

But I'm starting to train from now on. I'll show you guys what I meant about 100km in a week! Jan has the right idea. :D

Michael, be very careful with your training volume. Consistency is what lays the ground work. You should set goals more around quality and consistency of training more than volume. Something like run every day for at least 30 minutes or do two quality running workouts (an aerobic intervals session and a tempo run say). By doing that the volume will naturally increase as you become more comfortable doing that kind of training and you enjoy it more and more.

Yes that would be smarter than 5h in 2 days, but I'll be careful! Just trying to get as much really easy mileage as I can. Probably going to cut back a bit in the next 2 days, but if I could get 20 more km tomorrow I'll be happy. It might need to be 16 though, I won't overdo it! :D

@D-MAN - Do you mean Saturday? That's when everyone is doing the 20km across goat creek. Tomorrow (Friday) most people are taking a rest day. U should come for Saturday!!!
