Sorry I wasn't there too! Well done in the middle though, it looked like a good run :) And cool experience to go out in a good spot in the relay.
My biggest problem since moving to Europe has been getting demoralized in races like this, because the only international races we are exposed to from Australia is WOC, and the field at World Cups is often twice as deep. So I look at my % behind world champ standard girls as my personal benchmark. Going by that, if your run had been at a WOC middle it would have been among the best results by an Aussie in the last 5 years.

It was a cool experience - maybe if I get to practice it a few more times I might not freak out entirely!
Thanks Ness, that's extremely positive and helpful! It is really demoralizing, so it's nice to be reminded that I have to take the good things away from it.
