Good to have a backup plan. Of course another idea would be to take Sari to the farmers' market and bring her back loaded. We too are enjoying the bounty of the local farm stand. Unfortunately we didn't grow vegetables ourselves this year. We were away too much, and the labor involved is not friendly to the currently vulnerable state of our backs.

Actually, Sari volunteered to do just that. But she biked my stuff home from last Saturday's Farmers' Market...and we ended up with more than we could use. And produce is now at the peak of ripeness...and that doesn't last long.

The trouble is that after losing half my digestive system a couple weeks ago, I have a very modest appetite. Seem to get that bloated feeling with only half as much food as before the operation. And maybe metabolism has slowed too? With my reduced level of exercise, I sure don't want to start packing on the pounds. So probably good that I limited my purchases to only what I could carry for the mile walk back home. :-)
