Unfortunately basketball doesn't have complementary sport because it just can't be complemented.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas agrees with you.
Speaking of Zaga, are there more Canadians on the team this year?
Hmm not sure to be honest, as far as I know Jay Triano's kid continues to be our only current Canadian. I usually don't start paying attention to the team until sometime in October when I get my yearly insider preview from my buddy who works in the admissions office.
I found basketball very complementary the only year I played. I only attended training which consisted of pure match play (no drills or such boring things) and since there were so few in presence I got to play a lot.
The physical effort of basically running intervals across the court for two hours without a break did wonders for my running shape later in the spring...
I have to admit that my basketball game may not have benefitted from my orienteering skills (other than basic fitness) but it sure helped the other way.
