Should be an interesting battle this weekend with your once-per-year orienteering up against Rhys Challen, who I haven't seen in many years and some guy called Cody Yates who I've never heard of before. Simon's running up two(?) classes and Graham one, as are you. Cameron might have a good run. Sten and Wayne will probably enter at 11:58 tonight. The unbackable favourite for Sunday is obviously Craig paying even money.
I'm still trying to decide if I should enter and just walk the courses. A sensible person in my position would enter 21AS on Sunday (although there's no-one else in it). A more sensible person wouldn't enter at all.
The fact that I honestly feel like I have half a chance says that the standard in the Middle is extremely low. Not orienteering is one thing, but I haven't been training either...
Without Craig in the field it's open to anyone to win since the rest of us are so inconsistent. Just a shame I can't throw my inconsistency into the mix this year.
Looks like I'm out too :(
I will take your spot. I need to train for a 6.05 in the beep test next week.
Significantly improvement today. Might be an outside chance of turning up
Do it. Being forced to take it slow and steady will probably help.
Good news - I'm coming!
Physio this morning confirmed no hamstring tear. Apparently it is just referred pain and a muscle spasm from having my pelvis way out of whack. Didn't have any issues doing the hamstring strength tests and stretching.
