Out running when the market is open? I didn't realize you had retired.
Retire? At this young age?? I wasn't thinking retirement at all, and just figured I would keep running and do a little mapping for as long as my legs and eyes last. And to, once I've exhausted all the steps I was born with, to see if I can't wrest another few steps out of the hidden reserve that must be there somewhere. Plus, I'm just finally starting to gain some basic level of competency, like how much time to allot for getting to the start plus warmup, how to properly configure a compass strap, how to avoid all the green stuff and stick to the wide open yellow, and what the little squiggly lines mean (well, sometimes.)
Besides, what would I do in retirement anyway? Play golf, watch TV, and get fat (noting that many people are in such a rush to get there that they get started on all those things early)? Looking at the example set by our ever exemplary president, none of that strikes me as very appealing. Why would I want to do any of those useless things when I already have a perfectly fine useless activity that has served so well for 40 years?
