Hip:
My hip killed two years ago, when I was driving 600 miles a month. Then last year it went away (also had a cortisone shot) but now, just three weeks into the school year, it is starting to hurt again.
Coincidence? I think not.

I've probably watched too much Netflix. Have a 'tv room' that I use an air mattress on for a couch...I love the oriental (Japanese, Chinese and surprising a lot of Korean comedy and dramas that I have to read subtitles...I actually turn the tv up sometimes out of habit so I can 'hear' a language I cannot understand).

The main thing is not the pain itself but what does it mean in the future? I probably could ease into some short slow strides already but I'm trying one day at a time to say give it rest...and walking 5 miles a day is a pretty good workout.

Hope you get to feeling better. I'm pressing on with the on line hip exercises I see along with what I was doing before...I hate feeling stiff and slow and unspringy. I'm doing a step up exercise where about the heighth of a dining chair I step up...after I get warmed up then I'l step over with a hop and land on other side...kinda a very inferior version of a miniature steeplechase...always looking for the 'magic' whether herbs that cure my age, exercises, workout variations, vitamins, etc

I bought some sort of cookie pillow, forget the correct name to use in the car many years ago...it helped a lot. Ironically I cannot remember exactly how long it took and all the things I tried but at first I was scared into dreading some sort of operation something like a heart transplant or more likely a brain transplant to cure me...not a big fan of the joint replacement unless you are in white out pain as I am pretty sure there are drawbacks...
