Neice #2 reports that it snowed at Hill End this week, causing her to abandon her Gold panning.

I can assure you that it will certainly not be snowing next weekend (although I can't make any promises beyond that). Saturday has a decent chance of being the hottest September day on record at Bathurst (29.4 is the magic number).

Is weather forecasting down to such an art now? I'll be happy when they can tell me with certainty whether or not it'll rain and by 'certainty' I don't mean "We certainly believe it'll rain tomorrow".

Just had a look at the extended outlook - the initial change (at this stage during the day on Sunday) is fairly weak with little or no moisture, but a stronger one is coming behind it. Tuesday has the potential to be a cold one.
