Glad you had fun! Sounds like you gotta get Stella's nose out of that lead dog's ass and get competitive!

Remember burro racing in Leadville?

The "sled" dog should get a brat & beer, too - it could generate additional enthusiasm for future performances. Might Canicross teach Stella to strain on a leash with "the best of 'em"?

Well I was the slow dog of the two. She has shown her speed, but never quite pulls when we have run before. She is half Wippet and half pit bull. So I have a skinny super fast pit bull. I need to get with a faster crowd in the race next time, and she might've willing to chase another dog too.
There were some experienced racers with their dogs as this is a growing event at least with my friend putting these races on. There were canicross equipment for sale as well as homemade dog treats.
My waist belt was pulling on my lower back which kinda bothered me, I guess they sell some that pull more on your hips.
So overall good experience as most people don't bring aggressive dogs to these events and my wife has taken her to the dog park plenty of time to work on socialization with other dogs and thus really seemed to work.
