Indeed. Watched it once and then said "Beth come look at this". Saw it twice. I love T&F.

She points out we stopped in Williamstown some years ago returning from an O meet. The women's steeple chase had only one entrant. It was cold and drizzly. She completed her lonely course as fast she could.

A slight orienteering connection: Gen Lalonde is a really good family friend of ours and has been orienteering at least a few times!

I think I actually followed that race live - remember the girl missing the first water jump - and I definitely noticed the unexpected victory by Emma Couburn. I followed most of the finals from World Championships with good TV coverage in Sweden.
Something I often notice is the fearless attitude of US runners trying to follow runners that really should be out of their league - not always succeeding but sometimes with an unexpected outcome!
