I don't know how bad your shortsightedness is but I use mine everyday (I'm -5.00) and rarely have a problem running when sweaty etc much much better than running in glasses

Cheers, good to know. I wear glasses (I'm 2.5 or something like that) but I take them off for all sports activities. For normal running it's fine, but I've always struggled a bit to read the map while running, and it has worsened lately. Looking forward to test them in action :)

Yeah when orienteering (or even trail running) I've never had a problem quickly alternating between looking at the map or down and looking up ahead...like there's no fussy adjustment process. I would recommend daily contacts because after a race you can just chuck them out if you want. I've tried fortnightly, monthly and yearly and they are all a pain.
