Sorry to hear about that. Guessing that the Monroe event is no longer in your plans.

Went right by your place on Sunday on my bike, heading out to Woods Pond. I assuming that's your regular running/walking route?

And then up Schermerhorn Hill, I think that's the name, not an easy climb, glad the steep part is now paved. Don't think that is on your regular route?

No Monroe, for sure.

Yes, the road out to Woods Pond, plus the road to the east are places that I did like to run or walk, when I was looking for something easy and convenient.

Schermerhorn is tough, less so now that it's paved, but I wouldn't be inclined to try biking up it. ;-) On the other hand, if running goes by the boards, who knows maybe biking could be another sport to try. You seem to have embraced it heartily.

Biking works for now, but who knows for how long until something goes wrong or I crash. Really enjoying the bike I got. Can go lots of places, just not the technical single track, but then I can't do them on my mountain bike either.

Sure hope your knee at least allows hiking before too long.
