Discussion: Getting out

It was mentally (and often actually) difficult for us to get out at the start. Every time we planned to go out, we agreed that just getting out the door was a success. Any extra time we stayed out was a bonus. Each time, whether it worked or failed, our activation barrier for the next outing was decresed. Keep at it!

I'm so impressed at how you guys can keep being social even with the extra burden of sugarmuffin. You make it sound fun and easy :)

Ha, Alex, I’m glad that it sounds like that. And maybe if I could take a step back then it would look easy, but I really, really miss my sleep.

Alli, I think you’re right! Getting out with the carrier on my own seemed like a big deal but now that I’ve done it twice it’s starting to feel manageable.
