I've raced MTBO and DuO on parts of Stromlo. Both were away from the main car park/start area but we used some of the single track to the north and west.

I'm trying to get F&M motivated to find areas for the next national carnival in the ACT - the area behind their house could do a decent urban/trail sprint including a school - but the national calendar says ACT isn't due to host them again until 2021! Fedor doesn't even know if they'll still be here then. NSW has them again in that time (2020); Qld has 2018 and 2022; WA doesn't get them at all before 2022.

I thought Sunday's event was going to be on Stromlo but it's actually way over the back of the hill at Uriarra.

I'll have to ask Kev about that. According to the tracking website, his team paddled from Canberra to New Zealand during the race.

Good to see the Uriarra forest being used for something - it's of little use for foot-O because of blackberries (and because most of it is steep, and none of it is technically interesting).

The event info states that it's a map that's not been used since last century.
