Saturday Night Update on Star Tracks:

Mother Nature has decided to make this year's Star Tracks Mountain Bike Adventure a little more challenging.

We're expecting rain, which mountain bikers can handle, but the late morning or afternoon will bring high winds and maybe a thunderstorm.

The weather looks better mid-morning so we're going to open registration at 9 a.m. and allow riders to start at 9:30 a.m. We'll have a quick race briefing at that time. If you can't start that early, you can still start at 10 a.m. as per the previous schedule, and Barb will repeat the briefing for you.

We will check the forecast in the morning and if the weather system will arrive earlier, we may consider reducing the time limit to 90 minutes on a shortened course. For what it's worth, the rain arrived 3 hours later than expected today so we are hoping the weather system will be delayed.

So... everyone please think sunny thoughts! The flags are all out in the forest and it is beautiful at Albion Hills. You can expect spectacular autumn colours, warm temperatures, mud and wet roots (please ride with care!), yummy snacks, and an awesome selfie with mud on your face at the finish.
