what was your weight when you were crushing crazy awesome Ironman times and fast ironman run splits? did you ever do a DEXA scan to see how much of your old bodybuilding muscle you lost or re-gained?

Did you smoke the peace pipe and meditate with Grip and Brant and sit in the circle of rocks meditating for a week 8 weeks out from each Ironman? I wish I would have!

LOL, no I didn't hit the peace pipe with them but surprisingly I did go visit the sacred mountain site where the Huicholes do their ritual in the Real De Catorce, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Where Peyote grow wild and the Indians are allowed to have them.

I never really was that lean. Mark always told me that if I lost weight that I would be a sub 9hr Kona guy. He would always tell me that I didn't understand how much energy I had to use to move my weight. LOL

I never really weighed myself and I seemed to always gain weight during the taper. I did get weighed in at Kona though at about 174lbs both years, but that was with clothes on and after eating, tapering and hydrating. I was shocked that I weighed that much!
