Good work. We had a neighbour who used to set up his hunting stand right on the boundary of his property facing into Palgrave Conservation Area. The Ministry of Natural Resources makes money from selling hunting licences so their response was, "He could be interested in photography." They stuck to that even when he hung deer bait (doe urine-scented pads) across the trail in the conservation area right in front of the hunting stand. He did eventually get a visit from the TRCA enforcement truck and his hunting stand is now 5-10 m from the boundary.
During Raid The Hammer, they're allowed to use guns. :(
Since you're an engineer I have complete faith in your diagnosis of the ladder.
