I am impressed by the 4 girls returning 4 times to repeat the exercise. I hope you encouraged them to take up the sport outside of Guides.

Certainly did. It got incredibly confusing after a while. When the girls came in groups I thought I could recognise them, but some snuck off from the "boring" activities and joined other groups.
What did hit me was when I do the Small Schools Sports Expos I have a group for 25-30 mins so i can pace myself and I have a known arrival and departure time. This was very free flowing and groups were arriving every 5-10 minutes so I estimate I did the patter about 30 times. And the girls were so polite (or so desperate??? to do the maze again) that they patiently listened to the patter again and again. When I recognised one she said - "do you get tired of saying the same thing over and over?". I asked if it made sense - she said yes! But after pack up we had Happy Hour Guide style - rather civilised - crackers and dip, veg sticks and bubbly (lemonade/coke etc). I guess it is setting the girls up for their future??? At the same time it was a little bizarre.
